I remember being a little boy at short mountain bible camp and getting baptized in the swimming pool up there when I was about nine years old.

I remember some of the church camp counselors talking about another camp on short mountain referred to as "the farm" and of its inhabitants I only remember hearing the term "hippies"referenced

I remember wanting to go see this other camp secreted away somewhere nearby and being told "no" without any explanation

So ironic that two vastly different communities are nestled away in the folds of short mountain

and now I am an all grown up thinking of returning to short mountain this time to visit the sanctuary I wondered about so long ago
