RFD - Radical Faerie Digest — a queer reader-written journal since 1974

It has been a very eventful few weeks and has been a challenge to stay focused and upbeat. I have seen some really depressing sites and been countered with some of the most amazing love and endurance stories I have ever heard. I think I left off with preparing to teach computer programming for printing arts. In the past I have taught in various bush villages in Alaska. In those places I often arrived and had to wait for days while people slowly got it together, well Cambodia was much the same.

The title of this blogette is a line from Oscar Wilde. Goddess knows what that wonderful old queen was thinking when he wrote that and wouldn't he be surprised to know how many other old queens have healed their hearts in Arkansas. Arkansas, how unlikely that this conservative state would be one of the wombs of the radical faerie movement. Arkansas, the Ozarks of north west Arkansas in paticular, was a hotbed of what would become "radical faerie" activity before we had that name for ourselves. We tried to reclaim "sissy" for a while but radical faerie took root and blossomed.

What day are we in? Tuesday I think. The weather is so nice today, wish I knew someone going to Short Mt for the day this week. I have gotta sniff around and see if that is possible. I need to get out and work in the yard now that its nice, that would be a good goal. I need to bring plants in, I think, that means - they all need to be sprayed down with antibug stuff. Housekeeping is endless.
